Minutes and Dollars

How to think about minutes and dollars. Dollars are easier to understand. Minutes can be understood by dollars. 

Dollars

Dollars; they are little workers that can be used for you. Each one is an ant. When you have a bunch, you have a  colony. Observe the ants work. Put those dollars in the market, you’ve just given those ants fertile enviornment to make a whole lot more ants; they have food and a medium in which they can build their tunnels. Those ants are working for you.

If you keep those ants in a savings account you effectively just put them in a jelly ant terrarium from Amazon and only drop low calorie food in there; their population never grows. 

You buy that $15,000 dollar car, you just used money on you. 15 thousand ants that could have been making more ants for you, or at least could have been kept in a savings account, are now somebody else’s. Dollars just work, they don’t rest – at least not in the right environment.

Minutes

Similarly, minutes. Minutes can’t multiply more minutes, but they too live in an environment that either capitalizes on their potential, staggers it, or gives it for someone else’s use. They can either be spent for your benefit or on your desires.

Use more of your minutes and dollars for you, not on you.
